Take a seat in one of our custom-built double-canoe rigs and immerse your senses in its sheer beauty. Canoes, Champagne & Canapés is the perfect combination food, wine and wilderness. Indulge your taste buds with wild native canapés and a local award-winning cold-climate wine and discover what is unapologetically, one of the most stunning waterways in the state. Explore the sunken forest and its eerily beautiful backdrop of a convict-built sandstone road, winding uphill and linking the rainforest with our colonial past. This is wilderness in its extreme and is home to the majestic azure kingfisher, wedge-tail eagle, diamond python, rock wallaby, white-breasted sea eagle, water dragon and more. Arrive St Maur Vineyard St Maur Vineyard started as a dairy farm in Exeter between Nerio Panizzutti a tailor from the town of Gaiarine in the Treviso. His son Marco and an Italian partner from Belluno, Italy soon replaced cattle with vineyards and produced their first vintage in 2003. Small batches of Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet are harvested in mid to late autumn and pruned heavily to control leaf growth, limiting the grape quantity but produce a more intensely flavoured wine. This is specifically done to help the wine maker to create a regionally distinct and vineyard expressive wines year – on – year. There is a cellar door and private dining room on site and our experience consists of a tasting board including local relish, crackers and fruit of the season with your wine tasting for small groups. The property also runs Suffolk Sheep on their farming land.
