Captain Peter Benn

Captain Peter Benn has experience across multiple airline and aircraft types. From 1989 until 2007 he flew for British Airways, holding Senior First Officer positions on a number of aircraft including Concorde; Boeing 777, Airbus A320, Boeing 737 and then Command on the Boeing 747-400. He also had a three-year assignment as a Flight Standards Manager.

Since 2007, Peter has flown Boeing 747s for a number of operators, including flying freighter variants, and Command of a privately owned and operated VVIP Boeing 747-800.

Peter has held a commission in the Royal Naval Reserve since 1993, and is currently a Lieutenant Commander in the Media Operations Specialisation. Some of his more notable deployments have been to Norway after the sinking of the Russian submarine KURSK; to Bahrain in the aftermath of 9/11; to Cyprus during the build-up to Gulf War 2; and to Australia following the grounding of HMS NOTTINGHAM.
