Mr Ken Millar
General Manager, Cobham Special Mission – Asia Pacific
Mr Ken Millar has more than 35 years’ experience in aviation, commencing his career in the RAAF before joining Airbus in 2006, and most recently Cobham in 2017.
Ken was appointed the General Manager of Cobham Special Mission in early 2017 and has full oversight of the company’s operations in the Asia Pacific region, including airborne surveillance, search and rescue and defence support activities for Australian Border Force, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority and the Australian Defence Force.
Prior to joining Cobham, Ken worked at Airbus Group Australia Pacific for 12 years, firstly as Director of their P-3 Program before being appointed Vice President Fixed Wing. As Vice President, Ken was responsible for 650 people across six sites and three programs: Australian Air Mobility; Surveillance, Response and International; and Safe Air.
His career commenced as an Engineer in the RAAF in 1982 where he spend 24 years in various roles including Commanding Officer, Strike Reconnaissance Logistics Management Unit, Chief Engineer, Maritime Patrol Systems Program Office, and Test Director and Engineering Manager, P-3 Mid Life Update Program. He served in a number of Australian locations and acquired experience in Malaysia, the United Kingdom and USA.
Ken is married with two children and lives in Adelaide, Australia.
